Mechanic course

This basic mechanics course will give you the confidence and hands on experience you need so you can get out and enjoy riding your cycling without the worry of not knowing what to do.

When: Saturday 1 May
Where: UCI Headquarters, Aigle
Price: 32CHF
2 hours with UCI qualified mechanics. Hands on practise with UCI provided road bikes.

Itinerary for the day

9h00: Welcome teas & coffee at the UCI, Aigle
9h15: Introduction to the Mechanics Course, Haute Route and the UCI.
9h30: Introduction Mechanics course including:

• removing tyres and replacing an inner tube
• adjusting gears and Di2 and introduction to electronic shifting/components
• brake set-up and when to replace brake pads or discs
• removing wheels and best techniques
• what to do with a dropped chain
• washing and caring for your bike

11h30: A fun and flat group ride around UCI Headquarters on quiet roads. Linda Farczadi Haute Route Ambassador will guide the group.
12h45: Optional lunch at the UCI
