Born in 2010, the Haute Route cycling series offers amateur riders to live a pro cycling experience across the world’s most iconic cols. 5 events will take place in Europe for 2022, including 3 touring events.

The Haute Route’s objective is to deliver an unparalleled ‘professional’ experience for amateur cyclists. This means not only delivering first class hospitality and event management, but all the key ingredients that make up the culture and experience of professional road racing.


Acquired in 2021, Gravel Epic is a series of multi day gravel bike races, offering challenging and stress-free adventures in dreamy destinations.

Reporting to Director of Partnership Management EMEA this position sits within the Global IRONMAN Partnerships Department. The Partnership Services & Activation Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of partners and delivering partner assets across the Haute Route Road cycling series and Gravel Epic Series.

The role will be split between partner management and partnership activation delivery, ensuring partner’s contractual assets are delivered on-site at events as well as through digital and marketing channels, working closely with internal teams and leading on external communication with the partners.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner Management

  • Be the key point of contact for the Haute Route partners with the purpose of managing and delivering their sponsorship assets.
  • Understanding the contract and developing an asset overview and service plan for each partner account.
  • Schedule regular status calls or meetings based upon partner account size to ensure open and structured communication
  • Communicate and manage digital partner assets working closely with the marketing department.
  • Managing partner VIP and race entries.
  • Deliver post-event and annual partner recap reports.
  • Supporting the sales team in managing any partner contractual changes, including upselling opportunities, renewals, VIK agreements, revision in terms, expansion, or deletion of territories
  • Work with accounting and finance departments to facilitate partner invoices where applicable.

Partner Activation

  • Develop and create partner branding and activation plans for each event working closely with the operation team.
  • Deliver internal post-race activations reports
  • Attend races, including weekends, to support and represent the Global Partnerships EMEA department in the delivery of sponsorship assets.

Personal Specification

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within the events industry, ideally in a sponsorship role
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to think quickly, strategically and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Client management and/or activations experience
  • Must be able to travel as needed basis to visit accounts and attend Haute Route races
  • Fluent in both French and English (Written and Verbal)
  • Would have a driving license

The role will be based in the Haute Route Office in Lausanne, Switzerland and travel will be required.
