Founded in 1853 by Hiram Hutchinson, Hutchinson began in coated textiles production with the Aigle brand. In 1909 the brand won its first victory in competition thanks to Léon Georget using monofilament tires. The world’s greatest cyclists wore the brand’s colors as they climbed peaks and racked up victories on the Tour de France (Louis Bobet and Jacques Anquetil). Raymond Poulidor extended this glorious period with the famous collaboration between Mercier and Hutchinson. It is currently the only French bicycle tire manufacturer that manufactures its products in France. Last year Hutchinson was partner of the Europcar and FDJ Big Mat team, which won five stage victories during the 2012 Tour de France. www.hutchinsontires.com
